We had a fantastic day in 2011 at The Hideaway for the fete with stunning weather, great sales and a vibrant atmosphere! Excellent feedback was received on the quality of the exhibitors and the location so lock it in your diary for this year - 1st December 2012.

A great atmosphere and a fantastic selection of artisan quality stallholders from all over the South Island make this a day not to be missed - perfect for Christmas shopping or just to enjoy a day out in the country coupled with hand selected quality gifts, live music, craft-brewed beers and delicious food and wine!

NEW ADDITIONS TO THE FETE:
Artisan Farmers Market
The fete now includes an artisan 'farmers market' area in the garden offering cut flowers, cheese, pastries, salmon,  fresh seasonal fruit, cupcakes, sweet waffles, smoked venison and chorizo and many more local speciality and gourmet products - if you would like to be included in this area or know a fabulous product that would fit right in, please contact Jane.
The Cake Stand from Invercargill won the prize in 2011 for the best artisan foodie stall and took home a bottle of bubbles and a Canterbury grain fed ham.

Growing Great Gardens 
A new iniative after the success of 2011. There are now grants being offered to schools within Southland to be used to set up their own vegetable gardens/recycling program at school. See the Growing Great Gardens page for more information and quarterly updates on the gardens!

Christmas Gift Shop at The Hideaway
The Hideaway gift shop will showcase its fantastic range of giftware and a special Christmas room so get into the festive spirit and check it out!

What a great way to start your Christmas shopping - 2011's fete featured 185 quality boutique stalls comprising of homewares, Christmas gifts, art & sculpture, womens and childrens clothing, jewellery, linen and outdoor furniture. Shop for unique gifts that you won't see anywhere else while enjoying fine wine, artisan food and Pimms cocktails.

Local bank 'After Hours' will entertain with a mix of live music so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the day.
The fete will be held on Saturday, 1st December 2012 from 10am-4pm at The Hideaway 201, just 5 minutes out of Winton and 20 minutes out of Invercargill, off the main Invercargill-Winton highway. Get a group and don't miss this premier Southland event!
The fete will be held regardless of weather. No dogs, BYO or picnics please. 

There will be eftpos facilities on site but a cheque book and cash is always handy!
